Roosevelt Middle School is located at 11799 South Highway 14, Tijeras, New Mexico. You will find our beautiful school south of the Historical Route 66 Highway. Our school is just 100 feet from the Tijeras creek, which runs year round when we have good winter runoff. Our neighbors include A. Montoya Elementary School to the west, the Tijeras Ranger Station to the south, and the beautiful Sandia Mountains to the north, where you find summer and winter activities available to outdoor enthusiasts.

Roosevelt Middle School serves sixth through eighth grade students within a 400 square mile area. We have a staff of 68 outstanding professionals who work hard to support our students. Our staff enhances learning by utilizing teams within grade levels, performance assessment, cooperative environment, hands-on experiences, computer literacy and assistive technology. We offer students a variety of electives, from orchestra and band to computers and technology. We offer extra curricular activities such as volleyball, basketball, track, golf, chess and Science Olympiad competition. Our 8th grade students are fortunate to have two choices for high school, Manzano High School to our west and East Mountain High School to our north. Each school has its own unique offerings to meet the needs of their students.

Roosevelt Middle School is fortunate to have an outstanding parent organization called PAC (Parent In Action Council). Our parents support our school in many ways throughout the year so that we can offer such events and opportunities as 6th Grade Welcome BBQ, Career Day, Teacher Appreciation, 8th Grade Dance, and PAC Awards for Science/Humanities Fair, and Spelling Bee.

Roosevelt Middle School also has an outstanding School Based Health Center, which serves our students and families. The School Based Health Center is supported by the State of New Mexico and the University of New Mexico and provides services in physical health and mental health support.
